Frequently asked questions

Find answers to common questions about Mekong Saga Cruise, bookings, and your journey.

Mekong Saga Cruise operates between Can Tho and Cai Be. Depending on your chosen direction (northbound or southbound), you will embark at one location and disembark at the other. We provide detailed meeting point instructions upon booking and can arrange luxury limousine transfers or private cars from Ho Chi Minh City for your convenience.

Unlike larger vessels that stay in the wide, busy shipping lanes, Mekong Saga is designed to navigate smaller, tranquil rivers and hidden canals. Our "Small River" itinerary allows us to bring you closer to authentic local life, quiet fruit orchards, and untouched scenery that remains inaccessible to bigger ships.

Yes, Mekong Saga offers a full-board experience. This includes gourmet lunch, dinner, and breakfast (or brunch on departure day). Our menu features refined Indochine cuisine, and we are happy to accommodate Halal, Vegetarian, Vegan, and other special dietary requirements with 7 days' advance notice.

We offer various suite categories to suit your preference. Our Saga Royal Suites and Indochine Grand Suites feature private balconies and bathtubs. Our Mekong Suites (located on the 1st deck) feature large picture windows that offer expansive, immersive views of the river without a balcony.

Yes, we provide complimentary Wi-Fi in all suites and public areas. However, please note that as we navigate through remote parts of the Mekong Delta, the signal strength may occasionally fluctuate. It is the perfect excuse to "unplug" and enjoy the scenery!

Your "Saga" includes a mix of onboard and off-board experiences: guided shore excursions to artisan villages, traditional sampan (rowboat) trips, visits to floating markets, cooking demonstrations, sunset cocktails, and access to our rooftop mini-golf and infinity pool and more...

Absolutely. We offer cribs, extra beds and connecting suites for families and a variety of engaging activities. Children especially enjoy the rooftop mini-golf and the infinity pool. We also provide child-friendly meal options upon request.

We recommend light, breathable cotton clothing, a wide-brimmed hat, sunglasses, and comfortable walking shoes for shore excursions. For the evening, "smart casual" attire is perfect for dinner. Don’t forget your swimwear for the infinity pool!

The Mekong is beautiful year-round. The dry season (November to April) offers clear skies and pleasant temperatures, while the lush season (May to October) brings brief tropical showers that turn the Delta into a vibrant, deep green paradise, perfect for photography.

Sustainability is at the heart of the Mekong Saga. We operate with zero single-use plastics, utilize renewable energy sources where possible, and work closely with local communities to ensure our visits provide direct economic benefits to the artisans and farmers we visit.
